I also feel like one of the root causes is that society encourages men to be shitty fathers (eg. "it's emasculating to change diapers" and other toxic nonsense) and I think that has to be part of the calculus if we're ever going to fix things.
this is great and all but imagine if you tweeted abt how men are emasculated for parenting and you had some guys having a lively discussion about the issue and then i popped into your replies just to say “uhh not everyone’s like that, *i* never emasculate men for parenting!”

if you wanna be helpful, maybe next time another guy starts casually talking with no self awareness about how dope it is to have kids, share your thoughts & experience with him, not with women who already understand that
