As a parent I find this a weird take. My guess is that the vast majority (i.e. 99%) of mothers also say that children are the best thing. Pregnancy and birth is 40 wks + 48 hours. Parenthood is for decades. My wife barely remembers the pregnancy/birth times.
ofc mothers are glad they had their kids but how many would describe them as a "life hack"? how many men are risking permanent bodily damage for those kids? re: decades of parenthood, how many men are cooking for their kids, remembering their friends, picking them up from school?

how many women sacrificed careers for those kids while their partners didn't? how many of these men who talk about how great kids are didn't give a single shit about women or mothers at work before it became personal? just a total lack of self awareness here jesus christ

Total facepalm. Ugly truth: most couples out there are balanced and actually share duties. Not 1920 anymore. And yes, men have all rights to claim joy from fatherhood. You have too much spare energies to waste judging others.
