having kids in this day and age, to me, is the epitome of selfishness. not only is the desire to have children the very beckoning of the ego, it's literally accelerating the death of the planet.

Maybe above the replacement rate. But the world will need new generations to clean up our mess. Nothing wrong with not having kids, but climate change is not the slam dunk on having kids you think it is.
