a crucial thing abt paper is handwriting is less instantly readable than typed text and for me it means it’s much easier to resist reading over what i just wrote and the whole thing feels less intended for immediate external consumption

a few years ago I got into the habit of taking my journal everywhere with me, I only write it in it when I feel like and it's helped me so so much

totally hear u on the accessibility thing. I'm constantly afraid I'm gonna lose my journal. sometimes if I forget it I write my thoughts on scratch paper which I sometimes lose. still, having the world slow down as I slowly write out my thoughts is incomparable to typing (for me)

@dayoneapp for personal thoughts (heavily encrypted and good multimedia support) and system (Apple) notes for meeting notes n everything else. Evernote for nothing - there are too many UX bugs and just doesn’t quite do *anything* better than the other optionsThanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

I like taping things into my journal so it’s not just lots of black words but Also my thoughts feel like they’re moving too fast most of the time and my hand always gets tired/I get bored of writing before I’m actually finished~
