drives me crazy that none of the popular e-reading apps have an option to toggle on/off your highlights and annotations

once you annotate a book you can never just read through it again without seeing all the places you were like THIS IS IMPORTANT and it changes the whole reading experience and it's so fucking dumb that even on Digital Media they don't let you escape this

my ideal AR use case is digital highlighting for physical books but i don't think they'll solve this in a non migraine inducing way within the next 5 or even 10 years
