tech guys love to be like "i got good at writing by just writing more! look see i wrote 100 blogs and now i have an audience of 20k" not realizing the hole in this logic which is that their audience is entirely illiterate

biggest spike is the essay he wrote immediately prior to starting yc in 2005. literally ppl thinking "who is this guy??" and reading his most recent post on the homepage.
