sometimes i feel bad for pg he really thinks ppl read his blog bc the writing's good and not bc they are just hungry for a single scrap of his fat stacks

tech guys love to be like "i got good at writing by just writing more! look see i wrote 100 blogs and now i have an audience of 20k" not realizing the hole in this logic which is that their audience is entirely illiterate

weirdly enough i haven’t ever seen this but i opened some of his “top articles” and it was all overly confident 2 sentence medium dot com style paragraphs so checks out

oh no, you see, I'm improving all the time, and I've written a book now, here it is on this website (7% complete)

"book" of course i mean in the disrupted sense of the word, which is a series of medium blog posts — old-school "books" are dead now (i know this because i haven't read a book in 16 years)
