It’s crazy how big the difference is, switched from Lyft to uber because of it. Have chalked it up to uber deciding to subsidize SF more than Lyft for whatever reason (vs. market rates, which would guess are closer to Lyft’s prices).

Uber has always been cheaper than Lyft for me (South bay). Uber global presence helps them to keep the rates lower than Lyft I guess.

I was traveling in LA last week, and found the opposite, that Lyft was consistently 5%-15% cheaper than Uber during that couple of days
