being paid well doesn’t automatically make you guilty of all things but lots of tech ppl really hate thinking abt the ways they participate in systems that are fucking them. eg taking lyfts then complaining abt traffic, ignoring city politics then complaining abt rent
seeing yourself as an unaccountable transient also contributes to the problem. it’s a self reinforcing cycle and each individual’s reasoning is understandable but in collective it hurts everyone and not everyone is equipped to take the hit for others but it’s an awareness thing
