i have infinite respect for whoever was in charge of marketing indian and japanese food to white ppl and just forced them to learn words like vindaloo and onigiri meanwhile chinese restaurants are still letting guys named drew call literally anything and everything a dumpling
i wish i knew more abt different regional cuisines! i feel like i have a reasonable sense of north vs south general trends but not enough about finer grained differences and idk the indian restaurants here all that well

Mm, its honestly super hard to keep track as well. But Ugadi is about as Hyderabad as it gets if you're ever in Sunnyvale.

I feel super odd sharing that too, since it was actually one of my white friends that took me to the only restaurant that has anything close to my grandma's cooking. But in my defense, I usually just cook instead of serially trying a bunch of whitewashed places.
