tbh I only use drive for the reason that most ppl use google products now which is that it seamlessly integrates with an ecosystem we are all forced to use daily and using dropbox feels like.............going to a different city just to do your laundry?

this makes sense i also have a very stupid & idiosyncratic workflow where i never use gdocs/sheets/etc unless it's for collab stuff and most of my personal bits and pieces are spread between a combo of pdfs and uhhh .txt files and desktop stickies lmao so

I sincerely believe that they must use something else internally at Google and only have gdrive in the wild to slow down other companies. It's horrid.

Same product and same problems internally. All other criticisms aside at least Google is good about using their own stuff internally.
