somehow em dashes seem less rude than other forms of email punctuation
pathologically unable to send an email to literally anyone without using at least 2 em dashes

I have this problem where I use em dashes (and to a lesser extent semicolons) to reduce the overall number of sentences in order to balance the period/exclamation-point ratio and sequencing so that I appear just the right combination of cheery and worth taking seriously
