today my mom told me “your generation complains so much, you’ll understand when you’re 35” and when i was like “hypothetically what if i can’t afford a house at 35” my own mother forreal shrugged and said “rent, or move somewhere else”

anyways this started bc my grandpa’s apt building was gonna build an elevator but was blocked bc the lower floor residents didn’t want their unit value to drop relative to the upper floors. my mom thinks this is “ridiculous” and sees no parallels to anything going on in the bay
