Some of my "digital humanities" friends in undergrad got really excited when they started developing this program that could guess whether play snippets fed into it were comedies or tragedies, I told them great, maybe in a few years' time we wouldn't have to read anything at all
digital humanities in its current form is a perfect intersection of the shallowest possible parts of cs applied to the shallowest possible use cases in the humanities lmao
