you will love the java virtual machine... are you actually gonna implement the java compiler spec? there's all sorts of hilarious goodies in there
nope we write a compiler for a small teaching language called COOL, in past years it’s been to MIPS w/the compiler itself written in C++ but this year it’s to java bytecode w/the compiler also in java lol

this will be extremely fun bc stanford is a veeery c/c++ school and nobody here has written a line of java since the freshman intro “what is code” class
