every time this happens ppl are like “i thought fb had strong engineering” which is funny bc the first like 3 ppl i ever heard talk about fb eng in like freshman year all referred to it as a “spaghetti codebase”
my fav bit of code from working there last summer is a comment that went “NOTE: this is a hack. do not confuse with the other hack” except i wasn’t sure what other hack they meant bc the word “hack” showed up like 30 times in the repo
