i’ve generally been v satisfied with stanford’s course selection over the past 4 years but i rly wish we had an advanced compilers class worth taking

i haven’t actually taken it but it has a ton of extremely detailed negative reviews — seems to not really deal w/compilers all that much, + lots of comments about disorganization, poorly written assignments, the professor using the class to advance her own projects
kinda unfortunate bc it’s taught by one of the very few female profs in the dept (i have literally never taken a class w one) so there’s an inkling of “is this possibly gender related” but the number + specificity of bad reviews seems to indicate the class is actually just bad
