Genuine question: if you got a degree in a STEM field was there anti-humanities sentiment in that environment? If so did it come from your profs, peers, the community at large or somewhere else?

not anti per se but a definite sense that humanities courses were easier—I took a lot of english/lit for a minor & while I think you can think just as deeply in both, hard to unsee the grading. barely making the B curve in CS vs writing papers the prev night & always getting an A

on the other hand, definitely anti stem sentiment from humanities students, sometimes profs. backlash makes sense as we’re in tech central but the “soulless unthinking stem major” thing gets tiring too esp when it’s the prof not taking you seriously bc of your major on the roster
