the cs/tech practice of letting inexperienced undergrad interns actually do things is still crazy to me like every year i think about the code i wrote the prev. summer and hope to god it’s not still in production

freshman summer i literally learned python by doing the sole pipeline for all these image labels coming in from mturk & it was a hardcoded mess, someone redid it later but there are published numbers that were just whatever printed at the end of a 600 line script w/no logging
