Did "Australia-deal" focus group better than "Russia-deal?" Substantively, they have the exact same Free Trade Agreement with the European Union (none). Weird the government decided to go with distant Oz for their catchy rebrand.

That's because - something that few people seem to know - the last round collapsed in January, when Australia rejected UK demands for free movement of people. Scarcely reported. -AA

The govt aims to meet the target by 2050. So far the UK has exceeded its own targets in cutting emissions compared to 1990 levels, and has made bigger cuts than other G7 countries. But this isn’t expected to be enough to meet future targets. [2/2]

He also said that at the same time the economy has grown by 73%. Again the time frame he meant is a little unclear but this figure is correct between 1990 and 2017. Since 2010 the economy has grown by 20%. [2/2]

Boris Johnson said at that since 2010 CO2 emissions had been cut on 1990 levels by 42%. He seems to have got his numbers a little muddled but CO2 emissions fell by 39% between 1990 and 2018. [1/2]

During Ian Blackford said poll after poll shows a majority of Scots in favour of independence. Several recent polls show this (excluding “don’t knows”). But more polls over the past 12 months show a majority against it. [1/2]

The fair challenge to the EU is that they suggested the exact Canada agreement could be on offer. But as I wrote 8 months ago, it was only ever going to be available accompanied by rigid level playing field rules. The UK chose to ignore this 2/
