It is in some states if you don’t request a ballot. And it’s unsafe to send non-citizens a ballot. We should not set them up to commit a crime (that’s entrapment)!

Couple possibilities:
1. If you have a CA drivers license, a DMV employee might have made an error while processing the DL application. (This happens more than you might think.
2. A third party might have tried to register you without your knowledge.

Please get in touch with your county registrar and let them know you received a ballot in error. There is a form you can download and sign so that doesn’t happen again.

Hope you didn't sign anything, under penalty of perjury, that you meet all voter eligibility requirements, including citizenship...like at the DMV or a college campus, or anyplace that offers voter registration...
