    Just occurred to me that this was already done in a scene last week in HBO’s Succession when Connor Roy challenged Senator Eavis, the Bernie analog, to a debate, touts his education and hails himself a classical liberal. Eavis smirks and moves on.

    He referred to an Arab-American politician as an “ISIS commie” and now blames it on his “vendor”. If saying “macaque” doomed one Virginia senate race, this should as well

    My vendor put out a tweet that attempted to link a Michigan gubernatorial candidate to ISIS. There is no evidence supporting this assertion. I don't believe in guilt-by-association – I have been the target of very similar smears, and I won't use such tactics against others.

    It would have been better if msm was clearer on this two years ago. There was so much tut-tutting over any talk of the naked racism (calling it anxiety seems too euphemistic) weaponized by Trump, the GOP and right-wing media ecosystem

    On Fox's highest-rated shows, the politics of white anxiety play out practically every day, as hosts and guests warn about the impacts of immigration and minimize or mock the perspectives of POC. It's about appealing to people who perceive they are losing their grip on power...
