Someone once told me their friend was “not allowed” to bring a date to her friend’s wedding because the last date she brought had a spider tattoo on his head and he “ruined” the photos. I’m sorry how??? He wasn’t even in the wedding party????

This started out as a rant because I don’t understand instagram/Pinterest wedding culture, but all the stories of people’s lovely inclusive fun weddings/hilarious wedding horror stories made my day! We would all be better aunts than this horrible woman

Clearly the solution here is that everyone else dresses in Spider-Man-themed outfits as well

I need to look at these pictures in order to remember the people in them, who I alienated

Agreed. What a wonderful and compassionate touch this would add to a wedding. This is only my humble opinion though, because I’ve never given a crap about anything being, “perfect.” People before perfection...every time...every situation...is how I try to live.

Wow... Instead of empathizing with her sister, and just loving her nephew, it's all about the pictures, the event. For an event that most people will forget about.

If I was going through someone’s album and saw a little Spider-Man and my reaction was “wow look at these RUINED photos,” I deserve to be locked up

I stood in one once when I had stitches in my face and they kept making me pose at angles or behind things to hide it

The only case this would be acceptable to me would be if you had said “hey I’m self conscious can we try to hide these stitches.” Otherwise, W H O C A R E S
