MT’s 2023 Legislature kicks off this Mon, Jan. 2 at noon. It’s my honor to serve among 50 Senators and our "Sweet 16 Strong" Sen. Dem. Caucus.
Come to the The People’s House, or stream at http://leg.mt.gov. Witness your Senators and Reps swear to uphold our MT Constitution.
Good evening followers, Montana gossip cowgirl here, your one and only source for the truth behind the scandalous lies of the Helena elite.
Here's a picture of Montana’s next Governor.

NEWS: Two of my bipartisan veterans bills passed the Senate unanimously.
Cutting down the timeline for processing claims and delivering more veterans a final resting place deserving of their sacrifice were both priorities for me as Chairman. I'll keep pushing until they're done.
Only in Montana: my school had a lockdown yesterday. A mountain lion was chasing a deer on the playground. That was an absolute first for me. Just when you think you’ve seen it all.
The billionaire class? Doing phenomenally well.
Huge corporations? Enjoying record profits.
Working families? Falling further and further behind.
Yes, it’s time Congress prioritized the needs of our people.
Ah, the greed shows itself. Lowest hourly net pay in the developed world. If it follows like the ATC strike bust by Reagan we’ll see more accidents. People respond to incentives. When the poorly maintained rail cars go flying, we’ll see who’s lying.
A rail shutdown would’ve killed our supply chain, hurt workers and small businesses, and sent consumer prices through the roof. Passing legislation to avoid one was the right move to protect American jobs and keep our economy moving.
Just seeing this. Of note is this study and the entity come out of Southern California, where there is a long standing note of corrupt old dudes who own literally everything on the property. They run incredibly high triple net leases and usually bring in international clientele
Worth noting this study seems to focus on data from big metro areas. Which raises Qs about whether the economics play out similarly in Montana's much smaller + often tourism-focused communities.
Yesterday we were sent home for wearing my union shirt at work. My SMs excuse for union busting was “I have a family”
We all have families. Here is a thread of just a few times in my 12 years at Sbux when managers didn’t care about my family. 🧵
.@BernieSanders: "Why is it that in Europe, inflation is at 11%? You think that's Joe Biden's fault? In the UK, it's at 10.1%. And it is higher in many parts of the world than it is in the US... The major reason for inflation today is the outrageous level of corporate greed."

The irony is that it will be many of his constituents on the other side of the fence. Let's shut down all public land in Eastern Montana and give folks out there what they voted for. MAYBE then it'll sink in.
When Butte, Montana workers rise it will be with the ranks of Starbucks partners, and not from the ranks!
Partners at Harrison Ave & C Street are announcing their intention to unionize, the first store in the Treasure state to do so.
fired me on May Day after I supported a union effort and passed around a petition for guaranteed pandemic hazard pay. Being targeted for organizing is a badge of honor I will proudly carry with me for the rest of my life.
story (6 at last count) said they've never heard of Montana courts recognizing a "deliberative process" or "executive communications" privilege to withhold records. Judges will weigh in this fall.
Veterans groups are standing watch outside the Capitol all weekend in protest of GOP senators blocking the #PACTAct. About 15 folks out here in the rain now, plan is to have a presence here 24/7 until Monday’s next cloture vote.
Montana is not for sale. This Congressional seat brings Montana’s history back into the spotlight. We are up against greed, corruption, and out-of-state interests. I'm honored to be on the side of the people.#mtnewshttps://rebrand.ly/lfecq4l
Right now, the average billionaire—there are about 790 of them or so in America—has an average federal tax rate of 8%.
No billionaire should be paying a lower tax rate than a teacher, a firefighter, an electrician, or a police officer.
