Unions are groups of people. My LU is comprised of some where around 500 people who are members by choice. We as a body vote to support candidates as we see fit. Also by your jump of logic every group of people has no business in political money....

What it has to do is people who are in unions basically give up their freedom to work to be a member. If you try to go down the road and work a non-union approved job you can be fired or kicked out of the union. You poor soul, what sort of job do you have that is only unionized?

Dude, I’m an electrician, being union means better wages and benefits nation wide. I took a maintenance job a few years ago that is non-union.... god I miss contracts and collective bargaining. HR only works for one group, management

It’s a start. We still need to get rid of career politicians by utilizing term limits. After your term is up you go back to being a regular citizen. Additionally all politicians must invest in their own retirement and participate in the same health program the rest of us do.
