Yes but Caleb's contention is that contemporary China, land of noveau riche billionaires, suicide nets draped over Apple factories, and vicious state repression, is the kind of society that Marx would have envisioned. He doesn't know what he's talking about

China is just a somewhat authoritarian centralized state that has inherited and maintained communist window dressing as a matter of continuity, more or less. As long as they run things OK no one cares.
