Are you using holograms as an example of something that's frivolous with the suggestion that we only have a finite amount of innovation capital to spend?

mike brings several examples. some are obvious-ofc I want to harvest all the energy from the sun! others are technosolutionistic> we don't need trash in the ocean let alone houses on top of them. others are simply inefficient, like flying cars for mobility.
