Miami does that because The Super Bowl brings lots and lots of people to the city. Hotel rooms are at a premium, restaurants are packed. Local businesses benefit from the tourism. That’s why Miami continues to host Super Bowls. Rent & Healthcare are not related to it.
Some things aren’t illegal but they are incorrect. That’s the difference be criminal vs corrupt.

Flawed argument drug money also contributes to local economy. There are plenty of perks in South Florida to attract Super Bowl and other events. If that’s not enough so be it. It’s corruption at its best for the folks in powers & $$$. Doesn’t trickle down.
