As we gather to celebrate Christmas, I pray we meditate on the true meaning of the season.

Christmas is about the greatest gift of all. We celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ that happened in a manger 2,000 years ago, and happens in our hearts everyday. Christmas is about the joy the good news brings to all people and the peace His birth gives the earth.
I pray that in this season, we would focus on our families & loved ones. I learned that a dear friend recently lost her son to a drug overdose of marijuana laced with fentanyl. It’s hard to hear stories like these, especially during this season.
We must focus on the foundation of society, the family.
We must build stronger families and stronger communities so that our children always feel loved and supported, not lost and hopeless. #IrinaForCongress
