Never mind finding solutions to our healthcare disaster, lowering the excessive and rising cost of insurance or perhaps one day balancing the budget among the many other problems they should be working to fix.
Unfortunately they’re not in Washington with a spirit of collaboration or wanting to unite the country. They are in Washington for the sole purpose of gaining political power to represent the will of those that put them in office in the first place- special interests.
Most of these representatives are not public servants but pay to play politicians setting themselves up with a nice retirement plan. #SophisticatedCrooks
RE: Balancing the Budget. Fact: GOP controlled the House, Senate and WH 2016-2018. The major piece of legislation they passed was a tax cut primarily for the very wealthy and corporations which exploded the federal spending deficit to record levels.
Are #Republicans pretending to care about the #NationalDebt again? Sorry, but for the few folks who didn’t realize during the Bush years and the first two Trump years, Republicans have already admitted that they were never serious about #FiscalResponsibility.
