La constitución boliviana permite, máximo, 2 periodos de 5 años como presidente. Morales estuvo 3, cambiando parte del Tribunal de Justicia. Hace 3 años hizo un referéndum para un cuarto mandato y lo perdió. Así y todo estuvo 3 años más ilegalmente ocupando la presudencia.

Las últimas elecciones eran, supuestamente, para validar el apoyo popular de Morales pero cuando vio que iba a segunda vuelta, alteró los resultados. Y ahi la gente se hartó. No fué golpe de estado.
