One of the things I like most about our president is that he calls it like he sees it. For too long politicians will say what is convenient and politically expedient. I think people are tired of the farce. We can see through the fakeness.

The challenge is that being plainspoken (which I doubt he is; he's disclosed that bullshitting is his favorite sales strategy) is a virtue only if what you say has any correspondence to reality

In comparison to what other bullshitters? Under the previous one we overcame the worst crisis since the 1930's, unemployment dropped continuously since late 2009 up to today, and the market recovered following a nearly straight line. And older bullshitters won WWI and WWII...

“Trump derangement syndrome” is a cliché that gets thrown at others way too easily, and even if the receiver is someone who isn't well described by it.
