On 01Sept2020, HK Gov officially announced: HK has NO separation of powers. Well, no separation of powers means the gov controls all 3 powers. CCP would definitely not allow an independent 4th power. Political persecution of journalists will become the norm.

Jimmy Lai is the owner of the last democratic newspaper in Hong Kong and this is purely political prosecution. He was not allowed to bail n need to detain for half year before the scheduled trial. It violates the presumption of innocence!
