BREAKING: A new report from @ASPI_ICPC reveals the extent of China's "coercive diplomacy" as Beijing's global ambitions grow.
The report documents 152 cases of coercive diplomacy, affecting 27 countries over the past 10 years.

The authors define coercive diplomacy as non militarised threats against other states. Examples include trade sanctions, boycotts, arbitrary detention and travel restrictions. Threats are triggered around sensitive issues such as Taiwan, Huawei technology and human rights.

The report's conclusions echoes calls led by #IPAC 
members @kimbakit @SenPaterson and Andrew Hastie to reduce strategic dependency on China through economic coordination with allies.
Only by standing together can democratic countries guard against Beijing's threats.
