    In 2021, 381 people successfully returned home and got the opportunity to re-establish their lives with the support of IOM Belarus programme. In the new year, IOM will continue to support all people on the move in need of assistance.

    Since summer, thousands of migrants have tried to cross the Belarus-Poland border to find a better life. Many ended up in dire need of assistance. IOM provides immediate humanitarian aid to stranded migrants in Belarus and offers a dignified and safe way to return home.

    Several hundred migrants are currently accommodated at the logistics centre at the Belarus-Poland border. IOM has been providing them with essential humanitarian aid and counseling on voluntary return options for those wishing to come back home.
