    Key message to our athletes is (as hard as it might be) trust that there is a huge amount of work being done by all concerned ( ) to make sure the games happen and to do your best to focus on your training and competition.

    Good call with discussing - very happy to hear talk about work being done on ‘how’ and not ‘if’ the games will happen & working closely with IFs to ensure remaining qualification events take place.

    Events have recently been organised in 25 sports & 10 Federations have restarted qualifications ➡️ 61% of athlete quota places already allocated ➡️25% to be assigned by the end of qualification period (29 June) ➡️14% of athletes to be selected via rankings

    Vaccination is not the silver bullet which solves all problems. It is part of the countermeasures for . We are encouraging everybody to accept vaccination. But athletes should not jump the queue. - IOC Pt Bach
