Controversial viewpoint: Most searchers on Twitter won't end up buying a deal. They lack the grit and determination that it takes to make it happen.

Forget a private jet.
Hiring a driver is the best ROI for your time.
I drive 25k miles/yr. 35 mph avg. That’s 700+ hours I could be a passenger in my car doing anything I want, disengaged.
Driver comp. seems to be $50-100k. Well worth even a few hundred hours of time.

I'd do the same thing that launched : find a high cash flow, low capital intensity small business to buy.
If you have the skillset and pain tolerance, it's a good probabilistic bet. Here's a thread on how I'd think through the process to maximize odds of success.

If you want to know more about a particular industry, do the following:
1) identify a publicly traded company in that industry
2) listen to their quarterly earnings reports, especially the Q&A
3) read the 10K reports for the last several years
Absolute gold mines!

I've lost track of how much $$$ I've spent growing my businesses using overseas talent.
For years, transferring money to the Philippines was a pain in my butt and expensive.
Now, it takes 30 seconds from my phone, and is cheap.
RT and comment "Send," I'll give you my playbook

Got a referral from a business broker in another state, flooring company "doing $13M in sales"... super pumped!
Just got off the phone with the owner and it turns out it was $13M in sales... total... over the last 15 years in busines. 😥 and it's down to 500-600K now.

Just what every buyer of a $44B company wants to hear from the former CEO:
Get rid of ads and make it a platform. Shut down the whole "company" part.

So close to my first 100 connections here on Twitter and 25 podcast episodes with great acquisition entrepreneurs. Who else should I interview?
Signing a Personal Guaranty on 7-figures in my 20's, married with a couple babies... yeah it was scary but my Net Worth was negative, so when I thought about it, it came down to "Well, if I bust, I'll go from zero to still zero with worse credit." Classic asymmetric risk.

Buying an existing business instead of starting one yourself is kinda like adopting instead of having a biological child.
Sure, you skip the sleepless nights when they're 2
but you get to walk in the door and suddenly think "holy sh#@" I've got teenagers in my house!!
