    I get a lot of emails from prospective career changers asking for advice about breaking into software engineering. Many are considering bootcamps, and most are woefully naive about how hard it is to get a job afterwards. So I wrote something to help.

    2019 in review 👇 13,766 technical interviews (that's... about 40 a day). 36% pass rate in practice interviews. 67% pass rate in REAL interviews (!!)... that's 3X what our customers see from other channels. 40% senior engineers we placed didn't have traditional credentials.

    5 years ago, I showed anonymized resumes to recruiters, engineers, & hiring managers. Not only could they not figure out who the strong candidates were, but they all disagreed with one other. Resumes are trash...(1/2)

    I love this t-shirt. The back is an upside-down pyramid that doubles as a hiring funnel, and the Latin translates to "From data, justice." (The company helps engineers get hired based on ability instead of resumes.) 🎯
