Labour’s ‘green paper’ on VAWG starts at the wrong end of the problem. Longer sentences aren’t a deterrent when hardly anyone is convicted of serious crimes like rape. What needs addressing urgently is a broken criminal justice system that treats victims like perpetrators. #VAWG
