    Okay Microsoft will take their lumps on this and so will cloud in general. But all code has bugs. The difference is, cloud providers are highly motivated to find and fix theirs. On prem systems aren't under that microscope.

    I'm seeing some evidence that researchers are already figuring out ways to exploit this CVE-2020-0601 flaw patched by Microsoft today. This is a serious bug for which exploitation tools will almost certainly soon be available. Please don't delay updating.

    Ahhh Policies. Easy to create. I'm sure the enforcement of this will be top notch. Facebook has a long way to go with repairing trust and announcing nebulous policy changes will not climb them out of their hole. via

    Second this. This is about one of the top brands in the market. It's not some off brand. No product will ever be impenetrable but for that product, high expectations are not unreasonable.

    I really, really dislike this attitude. No, people are not stupid for buying a camera system and expecting it to be secure.

    Good to keep things in perspective, especially in the IoT age.

    As an expert, I don't agree with this. Software is no less reliable or insecure as anything else. How many people die every year due to mechanical failures? How many die due to software failures?
