Holy crap! Return to Empire actually won at the HMMA! Incredible! (And I just found out a 3rd game I contributed music on, PUBG Mobile, was also nominated!) Gonna have to see about that trophy :)

Forgot to post this last week after the midterm nail-biting, but a couple games I wrote music on got HMMA nominations! Return to Empire and Honor of Kings. I was part of a team of composers on those, but I'll see if I can post some tracks soon.

Seeing some of my colleagues post old Halloween tracks, figured I’d join in. This one’s an “oldie-but-goodie” I did many moons ago for a video game called A Million Minions… The Cemetery level :)
A game I scored, Return to Empire, is a finalist for Best Original Composition in Gaming in the ! It’s up there was some pretty amazing talent I’m insanely honored to be listed alongside. A huge congrats to the team! And best of luck to all the nominees!

Well, I bought the Mac Studio Ultra. 4 thousand smackaroos, plus tax and apple care. (In other news, I may be the last person on earth to use the term “smackaroos” as an indicator of currency. Also, this last sentence reads like the start of a post apocalyptic movie.)

Back from another fun and successful #GDC2018. In spite of everything else awesome I got to see and play (and everyone awesome I got to meet), this still topped it all. :) An original Atari 2600.

GDC takeaway #4: I've now encountered 3 men wearing kilts, only one of which was actually Scottish. So, I guess that's like a thing now.
Nothing like that San Francisco parking garage urine smell to brighten you up for a fun day of conferences! :-)
My other takeaway from GDC so far:
Gender-neutral restrooms @ the Moscone Center. I'm now terrified of farting too loud.
My takeaway from GDC so far. Everybody uses Twitter and Instagram like they're going out of style. So... I guess I'm back.
I think this means Hell froze over twice in one month. First the Cubs, now this.
