    Happy 30th, "Enjoy the Silence." • It is the greatest piece of synthpop ever • But is far more than the sum of its parts • Let's be real: the lyrics are... not actually very good • And that's okay (and its part of why there are no good covers of it)

    I am 100% sure that the quotation signs in "Are 'Friends' Electric?" are the same quotations signs in "Heroes." I would even venture that though the former song is not a cover of the latter, its quotation signs are a cover of the latter's.

    You don't have to look deep in Al's autobiography or Chris Connelly's memoir to find absolute horror stories of the band's behavior in the past. Instead (for now) I'd rather appeal to Al's better nature (e.g. here: ) and say NOW IS THE TIME TO LEVEL UP.
