I stopped using it after discovering Vim. Hugely bloated, vastly overrated piece of software even in 2019, that embeds an interpreter for a language nobody uses anymore.
I still use Emacs. But it's non-ergonomic layout has damaged my fingers (especially on an Apple layout keyboard.) As for Lisp - it's still used, although often in the variant called Scheme, but mostly by MIT grads (not by us CalTech types.)
