Anyone using C# / Unity ever needed code preprocessor macros? I need it for performance critical code.

In this case, I'd like to substitute methods to get rid of that overhead in some DSP code.

No, I'd like to end up with the same code on all platforms.

Thing is, I want to insert the same macro consisting of multiple lines of code into multiple places.

Basically, a substitute for methods where even the method overhead matters.

oh god no i've never done that. uff. unity's mono doesn't have https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/system.runtime.compilerservices.methodimploptions(v=VS.110).aspx … (aggressiveinlining) I guess, which mightt've helped

Yeah. I guess I'll just repeat the code for now and write synths so simple it won't matter. :)

weren't you going to move the synths to c++?

I probably should, but I'm giving C# synths one more try since it makes integration soooo much easier.
