      I always forget how slow it is to read verts one at a time from a mesh, dump them in a vector array first!

      @docky so if you're modifying every vert it's better to go "Vector3[] verts = mesh.vertices" then editing that and reapplying it.

      @S0phieH not least of which because iirc you can't edit mesh.vert[index[ = new Vert, you have to assign the whole array!

      @docky oh yeah if you're wanting to add/remove verts you really need to be working with a list instead and just ToArray() when you apply

      @S0phieH @docky ToArray allocates a whole new array (as does .vertices) - so there can be a memory toll. but it's probably fine :)

      @S0phieH @docky - there is the arraysegment class that can point to subsegments of an array - http://www.dotnetperls.com/arraysegment  . Never used it though
