I remember being 6 or whatever and needing this to remember which was which. Also memorizing the times tables from 1 to 10 is still among the hardest things I have ever done in my life.
I was taught the same thing in Greece! Honestly genuinely helped me when I was little, but now I can't even think of thinking about it, the symbols feel so natural. Meanwhile I still have to use a mnemonic to figure out where's my left and where's my right. Weird
I never knew about the crocodiles until I started helping my children recently. They taught me how the crocodile works ...
