If you‘re using mac i would use Time Machine, it can backup you‘re whole system and it‘s already installed.

apple've stopped selling the airport things, so I'm assuming it's on life support.

(also, ideally a backup service lets you back up to several sources in some easy fashion. )

The Time Capsule (airport express with a hard drive) and Time Machine are two different things. Time machine is a software that comes with EVERY Mac that helps you back up anything to any external (or internal) drive. I use it to backup everything to 2 drives to have redundancy.

I like being able to do backups to usb drives, but I definitely don't want that to be my only option. Arq seems to be a good option - I've set it up to backup to S3 and my linux server nightly, and also to my backup USB drive if I plug it in.
