If you‘re using mac i would use Time Machine, it can backup you‘re whole system and it‘s already installed.

yeah this looks very nice. (I kind of would prefer *unencrypted* backup so as to not be so dependent on the tool if it goes down (even though the format is documented), but fine...)

As outdated as it sounds, I would sometimes burn the most critical data down to a bunch of Blu-Rays
