on a good week, i can only muster maybe 2 or 3 hours of focused meaningful work in a day. work that requires clarity of thought, whether it's writing, programming, or just thinking something through. everything after that gets lost in brain fog. on a bad week i get nothing.

I generally find my mean level of consciousness has drastically decreased as I age. I just have to entrust more and more of my time to routine/autopilot work and try to make best use of my brain when it decides to make itself available...
