Many (but not all) of the puzzles can be semi-brute-forced by counting how many squares on each column and determining, given horizon height, which columns must participate 100% in each demolish. E.g. 2-high horizon, 3 demolishes, any column w/ 5 squares must have 3 demolished.

Often there are enough of these columns to narrow down the options to only two or three choices at each step, which you can brute force, or try to solve logically with that extra knowledge. Often I tried to do the latter but accidentally did the former while "experimenting".
